MUSE DEVELOPMENTS LEADS THE WAY WITH DELIVERY OF LATEST PHASE OF SPECULATIVE DEVELOPMENT
Muse Developments has continued to demonstrate its position as a market leader in Scotland with the completion of the latest phase of speculative development at its Eurocentral Business Park, located on the M8/A8 between Glasgow and Edinburgh.

This latest phase comprises two larger sheds, ‘Vertex’ and ‘Apex’, built on the remaining ‘Plot F’ site. ‘Vertex’ is the larger of the two, measuring 129,183 sq ft whilst ‘Apex’ comes in at 71,576 sq ft.
In addition - on Plot B, located at the heart of Eurocentral - Muse has delivered three smaller units ranging in size from 4,698 sq ft to 17,112 sq ft. They respond to both a growing gap and an increasing demand in the market for smaller industrial units that offer businesses the same quality and status enjoyed by larger occupiers.
The buildings represent the highest standards of building regulations and have been designed to meet the demands of modern distributors offering maximum flexibility and energy efficiency with a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating.
Muse is now looking at a number of strong enquiries from potential occupiers. Steve Turner regional director for Muse in Scotland comments: “This latest phase of development signifies the last opportunity for businesses to take advantage of the incentives available through leasing industrial property developed using the former Enterprise Zone benefits.
“By providing high quality, energy-efficient and cost-effective production / distribution units in a location that provides excellent access to the Scottish and UK road and rail network, we have responded to a rising demand from businesses, which recognise that the time is right to make the move and drive their business strategies forward.”
Muse bucked the market trend earlier in the year with an announcement that it was to drive forward with a second phase of development at the prestigious site, following a £33 million investment to deliver five modern, energy efficient units.
Allan McQuade of Scottish Enterprise, Muse Developments’ long-term partner at Eurocentral, said: “It is vital that Scotland continues to invest in quality physical business infrastructure such as Eurocentral to ensure we have a globally competitive business environment that will attract further investment and allow our key industry sectors to flourish and create employment.
"Muse Developments should be commended on its ability to successfully navigate the changing market climate and deliver top quality units which appeal to a wide range of potential tenants. Eurocentral is clearly established as one of the most prestigious production and distribution parks in the UK and we are encouraged by the level of interest in this latest phase of development.”
To date, Muse has invested £146.9m at the site since 1993, in facilities totalling over 1.5 million sq ft. Current occupiers of Muse developed properties include DHL; Wincanton; Warburtons; Hovis; TDG; Latham and SIG.
