Scottish Citylink this week announced plans to extend its 900 service that connects Glasgow and Edinburgh.
From Monday 2 October, passengers will be able to use the coach operator, which is a joint venture between Stagecoach and international transport group ComfortDelGro, 24 hours a day, seven days a week- to travel between two of Scotland’s largest cities. With late night services also stopping at Edinburgh Airport.
Offering flexibilty, great value and a very frequent service, Service 900 is the ideal way to travel between Glasgow City Centre and Edinburgh City Centre.
The Citylink Edinburgh – Glasgow timetable will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week providing services at least every 15 minutes during the daytime, half hourly between 1930hrs and midnight and then at 0100hrs, 0130hrs, 0230hrs, 0330hrs, 0430hrs and 0515hrs. All services after midnight will also call at Edinburgh Airport.
Additional late night journeys from Glasgow to Edinburgh are 0100hrs, 0200hrs, 0300hrs, 0400hrs and 0500hrs. All services between 2300hrs and 0400hrs will serve Edinburgh Airport.
The new services also offer passengers enjoying a night out in one of these two great cities an affordable way of getting home after the pubs and clubs close. Currently the only option after 2330hrs is a taxi.
The changes to the 900 timetable, alongside the existing CitylinkAir service, provide a 24 hour service to Edinburgh Airport.
Eurocentral and Maxim Office Park will also benefit from new links to and from Edinburgh along with additional late night services including the 0100hrs, 0230hrs and 0430hrs Edinburgh to Glasgow services and the 0200hrs and 0400hrs Glasgow to Edinburgh services.
The service offers over 50 journeys each way, every day, superfast free Wifi 4G and is great value at £7.60 for a single and £10.00 for a return. If bought up to two days in advance, customers can buy an advance day return for £7.60.
